GIVING BACK

#HonorMark gives back to the community and families of first responders and military in need. We are humbled to share more about the donations made by #HonorMark to families battling unfathomable challenges.

Cummins Family

At our 2025 race, #HonorMark was proud to make a donation to the Cummins family. Carter Cummins was diagnosed at just 18 months old with a brain tumor. He has spent most of his life on treatments and in hospital rooms. Through three brain surgeries, countless treatments, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, Carter has faced every challenge with an unbreakable smile and the most magnetic energy. He brightens every room he enters and always thinks of others whether he’s rounding up his favorite nurses for snacks and treasures- never forgetting to bring something home for his brother and sister. No matter what this journey brings, Carter’s joy and determination never fade. His love for Jesus and steadfast faith in God will see him through this journey and he continues to inspire all who know him.

The Cummins family exemplifies strength, love, and faith. Carter’s father, Josef Cummins, has honorably served in the United States Army for over a decade, including ten years with the 1st Ranger Battalion at HAAF. This includes countless training exercises and six combat deployments away from his family. His mother, Erin Cummins, is the heart and rock of their family — the one who fights tirelessly to get him the best possible care and continues to pour out unwavering love to all three of her children.
